Carl Arnold is an attorney and mediator. He focuses on Family Law including Family Law Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. He teaches courses certified by the State of Minnesota for Family Mediation. He co-teaches, with Katie Arnold, a college course on negotiation and mediation and at Metropolitan State University. Carl also represents parents and grandparents in child protection cases. Carl provides alternative dispute resolution services such as Financial Early Neutral Evaluations (FENE) and Social Early Neutral Evaluations (SENE). Carl Arnold is also a Custody Evaluator in Family Law Cases.
Katie Arnold is a mediator with a masters in psychology and human behavior. She is the Director of Restorative and Mediation Practices (RAMP) in Rice County, MN; she is on the Board of Directors of Community Mediation Minnesota (CMM) and she is on the Advisory Council for the Office of Conflict and Dispute Resolution for the State of Minnesota; she has a private practice and she teaches a class on negotiation and mediation and at Metropolitan State University. Ms. Arnold also does a diversion (Restorative Justice) program for youth in Rice County.
In addition to providing mediation separately, together Carl and Katie provide a form of mediation that they call "co-mediation" where they act as a male-female mediation team to help couples who are struggling to resolve Family Law issues. They've found that having both a male and a female as part of the mediation team, many couples feel more comfortable with the process than with a single mediator.
Carl Arnold and Katie Arnold can help caregivers, extended families, parents and other loved ones to have important conversations about important transitions and life decisions, by coordinating and facilitating family group meetings. We call our services related to scheduling and facilitating family group meetings "Family Communication Services".
